6) Lifestyle - Do some form of exercise as much as you can. Exercise improves your blood and oxygen circulation. Another very important lifestyle change is to make sure that you remove all make up before going to bed. I cannot emphasize enough the important of this. One last note is never; ever pick on your pimples. This will lead to acne scarring which is another big problem. Acne scars can take a longer time to heal than the acne itself. So you would really want to save yourself from that trouble.
A blackhead is when the pores that are close to the surface clog up with bacteria, dirt, and dead skin cells. If the pore is open, and the dirt and oil is exposed to the air, it reacts to the oxygen turning the inflammation into a dark-colored blackhead. It is the dirt, bacteria and skin cells that keep the oil from flowing to the surface of the skin causing this condition.
All forms of acne are collections of dirt, oil and bacteria that get trapped in enlarged pores or hair follicles and which are not allowed to escape through regular rinsing or washing of the face because the skin forms a small barrier over these. Everyone has dirt and oil on their face, but not everyone gets acne and certainly most don't have severe cystic acne. The problem with acne is not just that collection of dirt and oil but that barrier of skin cells as well, which shouldn't form this way over that opening. When that barrier forms that collection grows into a small bump that we call a pimple.
